Kamineni Nursing Colleges

The KIMS School & College of Nursing is located in the Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences Campus in a separate building on the National Highway No. 9 [Hyderabad to Vijayawada] which is about 85 kms from Hyderabad. The building is located in 5 acres plot with ground plus two floors. The total floor area is about 60,000 sft. In the ground floor, the Principals office of College of Nursing, Medical & Surgical, Fundamentals of Nursing, Nutrition, Child Health and OBG labs are located. The staff rooms for the college are also located in the ground floor. All labs are provided with necessary infrastructure facilities and equipments as per the guidelines of the Indian Nursing Council and State Nursing Council.

The 1st floor accommodates Principals office of School of Nursing, 04 Lecture halls of 100 seating capacity each for College, 04 class rooms of 50 seating capacity for School, Seminar room, Demonstration room, Staff rooms for School and College and Class rooms for M.Sc [Nursing] Courses.

All class rooms are provided with sitting and writing arrangements, audio-visual equipments, black board etc.

The 2nd floor accommodates Psychiatry Nursing lab, Central Library and Common hall [Multipurpose Hall]. In addition to this there is hostel accommodation for 120 students of GNM course in the same floor.

The Central Library can accommodate 150 including staff and students at a time. The Central library has a separate section for internet facilities [Digital Library]. The Library is provided with 5000 Books of different titles and Journals [Indian & Foreign].

There is a separate auditorium cum examination hall adjacent to the main building. There is a separate hostel accommodation for about 600 for B.Sc [Nursing] &M.Sc [Nursing] students and also for faculty. The hostel is provided with separate kitchen and a dining hall which can accommodate 120 students at a time.There is a separate hall for indoor games in the hostel.

The College of Nursing started for B.Sc [Nursing] course in the year 2004-05 with annual intake of 40 seats which is increased to 100 seats from 2007-08. Already 03 batches of students have come out successfully. M.Sc [Nursing] courses in 04 specialties - Medical & Surgical, Community Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing and Psychiatry Nursing started from 2011-12 with annual intake of 05 students in each specialty.

The School of Nursing started from 2003-04 with annual intake of 40 seats. Already 05 bathes of students have come out successfully.

The School and College are headed by the respective Principals along with teaching faculty as per the norms of the Indian Nursing Council.
